Derek Fisher’s involvement in the triangle is finally over.
In a blunt radio interview, Matt Barnes opened up for the first time – at length – about the physical altercation he had with former Knicks coach Derek Fisher at his one-time home involving his ex-wife, Gloria Govan.
“All I’m gonna say is he’s lucky there was a lot of people there grabbing me the whole time or it would have been a lot worse,” Barnes told “Hollywood Unlocked Uncensored” host Jason Lee.
“But I think I got my point across. If I wasn’t an athlete and some s–t like that went down, it wouldn’t have just been a fight.”
While he was candid about the fight they got into last October, Barnes has ultimately come to terms with the current situation and believes all that matters now is that Fisher treats his twin 7-year-old boys, Isaiah and Carter, very well.
“To be honest with you, the first thing that went through my head is, ‘This motherf—-r is around my kids,” the Memphis Grizzles star said of his immediate reaction to learning that Govan was seeing Fisher.
