Police are searching for a pistol-wielding thief who played polite Monday night trying to pay for his meal before robbing a Taco Bell cashier at gunpoint.
The man, who only spoke Spanish, ordered a meal and handed the cashier $20 before brandishing a small silver pistol, according to Orlando police.
He demanded money and then fled from the restaurant on Semoran Boulevard at Hoffner Avenue in east Orlando, before police arrived.
It’s unclear if he made off with money, or his meal.
Officers this morning released surveillance photos of the suspect inside the restaurant and are asking for the public’s help with identifying him.
Police said the man, who appeared to be in his 30s, was wearing a black hat, long jean shorts, sneakers and a gray jacket.
